Is drinking a lot of packaged juice bad for your health?

A: Yes, consuming large amounts of packaged juice can harm your health. Although marketed as healthy, many packaged juices are loaded with added sugars, artificial flavours, and preservatives. This can contribute to weight gain, blood sugar spikes, and increased risk of type 2 diabetes and other metabolic issues. Unlike whole fruits, these juices lack essential fiber and often have fewer nutrients due to processing. Regularly replacing fresh fruit with packaged juice may also reduce your intake of vitamins and antioxidants. For better health, it’s recommended to choose whole fruits or freshly made juice without added sugar.
