Team leader

I have been working in the creative field for a little over 20 years now. In this long journey, I have met many creative people and had the opportunity to work with and lead them very positively. I say “positively” because positivity helps creativity flourish, and it definitely boosts productivity. We need to give confidence to each of our creative team members and give them individual attention. After all, you need to understand that creative people are often very sensitive and emotional, so we need to treat them with extra care. This allows them to create more beautiful, creative work for our projects.

In this short article, I will share a few methods I have tried to help make my team feel confident and positive in their daily work environment.

Always express positivity to the team members.

Appreciate their small achievements and give small gifts to make them happy.

Say thank you for their good work and appreciate them publicly. It can boost their confidence.

Avoid any negative talk about the workplace or other team members.

Encourage them to use positive affirmations like “I am the best,” “I am creative,” or “I can do this task easily.” (These are just examples, feel free to create your own.)

Ask them to drink mildly warm water every day when they wake up.

Don’t allow them to skip breakfast. Encourage them to eat a healthy one.

Ask them to do light exercise in the office daily. It helps boost blood circulation and creates dopamine, resulting in a positive mindset.

Utilize each member’s unique skills to make them feel valued and capable.

Share success stories or case studies (like those on frinleypaul.com) to motivate and show what’s possible.
